ENDOMETRIOSIS

Recently I have been diagnosed with Endometriosis.  This is a condition where you can get cysts around your ovaries and Fallopian tubes.  It can be quite painful, especially if undetected.  It is sometimes mistaken for other medical illnesses such as appendicitis, which is what they thought it was to begin with.  It was only when I had a scan in relation to the appendicitis that a cyst had shown up to which we got referred to a gynecologist.  It was then said that I had two quite large cysts but they didn't know what kind and especially as I was so young to get them. After the tests came back, I had an operation to remove the cysts, it was supposed to be a day thing but in the end stayed overnight because I ended up have my appendix out as I have acute appendicitis with endometriosis which was definitely unfortunate because really what are the odds?!?!

The following year after my operation has been hard because I had needed to readjust post endometriosis learning to live with it my whole life and all the side effects it will have on my life for ever!  I know I have to accept it but I really don't want to. I hope it gets better and there are other ways to go forward but who knows.

Birthday next Tuesday! :D
